What major accomplishment is the devil proud of? For thousands of years Satan has taken great pride in coming up with "new" religions and cults. And, to no surprise, false teachers and false prophets, worldwide, have kept those who are ignorant of his devices figuratively happy in spiritual darkness and bondage, by using "glorious" hype, gimmicks, subtle persuasions, and so-called "secrets." It's no secret that people are intrigued by mystery. By using the word mystery, I'm referring to anything that is kept secret or remains unexplained or unknown, or things that present features or qualities that are so "off" that spiritual warfare is needed to draw the individual's mind out of utter confusion and demonic chaos. How has the Enemy been able to successfully captivate and deceive so many? The Bible declares, "The god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." (II Corinthians 4:4 KJV) When a person's mind is blinded by the devil they lack all consciousness and awareness regarding the truth of God's word, and the need for spiritual deliverance. Demonic activities and practices are considered completely harmless by many. What does the Bible say about such things? The Bible declares, "There shall not be found among you anyone that useth divination (fortune telling, Ouija boards, automatic writing) or an observer of the times, (a person who deals with astrology and horoscopes) or an enchanter, (magician) or a witch, (one making compacts with demonic spirits, thus possessing satanic powers) or a charmer (hypnotist), or a consulter with familiar spirits (spiritist medium), or a wizard (clairvoyant, psychic, ESP, telepathy), or necromancer (one who tells you they can communicate with the dead; séances; voodoo) For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord." (Deuteronomy 18:10-12 KJV) What does the Bible say concerning how people will react to sound doctrine in these last and evil days? "For the time will come when men will not endure sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own lusts, they will gather around them a great number of false teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn to fables." (II Timothy 4:3 Amplified) The Apostle Paul said, "But there be some that trouble you and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let them be accursed." (Galatians 1:7-8 KJV) Can a person be reincarnated? No, absolutely not. There is no reincarnation. The Scriptures tells us that Jesus raised the dead; therefore, we believe in the resurrection of the dead. However, reincarnation is the belief that the soul, upon death of the body, comes back to earth in another body or form. The rebirth of the soul in a new body is not scriptural. Hebrews 9:27 says, "It is appointed unto man to die once and after this the judgment." (Amplified) Understand, death forever seals an individual's destiny, giving them no second chance of life or earthly inhabitation. What scriptures must a Believer adhere to in order to steer clear of Satan's enticements, entrapments, and bondages?" I Thessalonians 5:17 says, "Pray without ceasing." God wants you to have a praying spirit, or in other words, a lifestyle in which praying is as natural to you as breathing. Having a special prayer time is good and it's most definitely needed. But having a praying spirit is better, and will prove to be more effective in spiritual warfare. The Bible also says, "Neither give place to the devil." When you give place to the devil you allow him to occupy territory; you give him a spot in your mind, or a resting place in your heart; you put him in an immediate position of authority in your life or situation. Remember the devil's thoughts of you are evil, ALWAYS. Satan's thoughts toward you will never change! Every true child of God is hated and feared by the devil and is on his hit list! (Scripture reference Ephesians 4:27 KJV) Jesus said, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy..." (John 10:10 KJV) When the devil approaches you his thoughts are to kill you, to steal from you, or to destroy you. He is not trying to be your friend. All of his fun-filled fantasies and adventures lead to the lake of fire and brimstone--straight to hell. This is true--not sometimes, but ALWAYS! What is the danger of backsliding? II Peter 2:20 says, "For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning." Jesus describes the process of satanic invasion in Matthew 12:43-45, "When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation." Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."(Ephesians 6:10-12 Amplified) ©2008 |
